By
order of Clallam County in cooperation with the Port of Port Angeles, the
County established an emergency shelter for those without homes at the Port’s
1010 Building in the Composite Manufacturing Campus located at 2140 West 18th
Street. Some of the occupants of this emergency shelter will be quarantined
within the building if they display symptoms of illnesses or have been
exposed, occupants testing positive for COVID-19 will be isolated.
Unfortunately, security fencing erected around the 1010 building
does interrupt sections of the OVAL Trail. We are sorry if this inconveniences
you, but note that this fencing is temporary. If you are approaching Port
business parks north of the airport, your route will be blocked. The majority
of the loop is still able to be accessed, especially at the ‘O’ Street
entrance.
