This past Monday the Port Commission held an open public meeting at the Olympic Natural Resources Center in Forks to discuss timber issues with stakeholders and the public. The four hour meeting included presentations on cross laminated timber (CLT), timber advocacy, the county trust lands, carbon tax and sequestration, the formation of a timber advisory committee, arrearage calculations and an update from the American Forest Resource Council.
