Port Angeles Boat Haven is amidst recreational areas galore, including the area’s popular Waterfront Trail.
Stroll, bike or drive onto Ediz Hook and eat a picnic lunch with a view of Port Angeles or the Strait of Juan de Fuca. About a mile east of the Boat Haven is Valley Creek Estuary, where one can find native birds frolicking at the mouth of Valley Creek. A short distance further is City Pier, which has several picnic areas and is home to Port Angeles Marine Science Center, which features interactive exhibits about the Olympic Coast, and ocean science and exploration.
Nearby downtown Port Angeles also offers various shops and retail outlets – from restaurants, clothing retailers, outdoor outfitters and furniture, to antiques and other specialty items.
