Boat Launches
With the Strait of Juan de Fuca bordering its northern side and the grand Pacific Ocean to the west, it is easy to see why Clallam County area boating activities are extremely popular. Keeping these activities in mind, it’s natural that both commercial and private boaters need convenient access to the Strait.
Whether a fish boat, sailboat or commercial vessel – boaters find it easy to get their craft in the water – with 10 public boat launch ramps and numerous other private launches throughout Clallam County.
The Port of Port Angeles owns and maintains a total of three launches in two areas: Port Angeles Boat Haven in the Port Angeles harbor and John Wayne Marina on Sequim Bay.
The Port of Port Angeles charges a nominal fee for launching boats at these marinas. Fees are used to maintain these boat ramps and ultimately keep them easily accessible and safe to use. Annual use permits are available for frequent launch users.
